Abstract Die Aufnahmen sind in der Halbwüste Israels entstanden.
Various behaviour patterns of the male grey thrush (Turdoides squamiceps) from the semi-desert area of the Dead Sea are depicted in this film. The centre of interest here is the social behaviour of the birds living in their family groups. Living space, dependency of the individual in the group, the biology of hatching and questions of hierarchy are raised and discussed.
