Schleimpilz. Zeitrafferaufnahmen belegen die Umbildung isolierter Endoplasmatropfen zu bewegungsfähigen Plasmodien. Der Zeichentrick erläutert die Plasmalemmaregeneration im nackten Tropfen, die Umbildung des solartigen Endoplasmas in gelartiges Ektoplasma (durch Aktinpolymerisation und Fibrillogenese), die Ausbildung des kontraktilen Apparates (durch Zusammenwirken von Plasmalemma-Invaginationssystem und Aktomyosin-System) und die Schaffung von Endoplasmabereichen während der ersten Kontraktionen.
Plasmodial slime mould. Time-lapse photography demonstrates the transformation of isolated drops of endoplasm into plasmodia capable of movement. Animation illustrates regeneration of the plasmalemma in naked drops, transformation of the frothy endoplasm into gel-like ectoplasm (via actin polymerization and fibrillogenesis), development of the contractile apparatus (via interaction of a plasmalemma invagination system and an actomyosin system), and creation of areas of endoplasm during the initial contractions.
