New features in the AV-Portal

There is always something new to discover in the AV Portal. From now on, we will use this space to introduce new and particularly useful features that can make it easier to search, explore, and work with audiovisual media for research.

This is also a great way to discover useful features that might not be immediately visible in the AV Portal.

Some details only become visible when you take a closer look. With the new zoom feature, you can enlarge specific areas of scientific videos and explore them in greater detail. Simply activate Zoom via the settings menu in the video player. You can then use the zoom controls to move around the enlarged video.

The zoom feature is particularly useful for visual research data, detailed recordings, and scientific visualizations, allowing you to examine video content more closely.

We have put together a dedicated playlist featuring selected videos that are particularly well suited for trying out the new zoom feature and exploring scientific content in greater detail.

Follow media content from your favorite publishers in "My Media". Simply click the bookmark star on the respective publisher logo, for example in the publisher overview.

As with saving series to "My Media", this feature is available only to registered users.
