Abstract
White kerchiefs and dark blue rebozos, made on belt looms, are the main products of the weavers of Ahuiran. Especially during the absence of their husbands, the weavers are dependent on weaving for their income, which has led to the introduction of cheap acrylic wool, helping their sales in the nearby market town of Paracho. The women's work is the social centre of the community and includes their daughters. Thus traditions are passed on.
