Animations of transient mountain glacier extent since the last interglacial

Transient mountain glacier extent animations from 130 ka to present-day. Mountain glacier simulations are created with the Instructed Glacier Model (IGM). Animations are based on the median of the best-ranked 8 simulations after our evaluation process. Each simulation is in 500 m resolution and show 100 year time steps. Please note that time steps without ice presence are skipped.
